History of Success
For nearly 175 years, Harford Mutual has provided our clients with insurance coverage tailored to protect their businesses. We’ve grown from a small local insurer serving homeowners and farmers in Harford County, Maryland, to a super-regional carrier writing over $175 million DWP across seven states. Licensed in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, DC, we now provide business property & casualty products through our partnership with nearly 500 independent insurance agencies and remain steadfast in our commitment to personal service, fast, fair claims handling, and innovative products designed to meet our customers’ changing needs.

We also have on-site fundraisers like hot dogs for opening day of baseball, bake sales for cancer, a bocce ball tournament for a shelter, and other creative events. Fresh fruit is delivered to our stocked coffee and tea bar every Monday and throughout the year we celebrate educational achievements, retirements, service milestones, a Thanksgiving breakfast served by senior management, Employee Appreciation Day, and holiday parties.
